I don't know if Windows 8 will be compatibloe with GMOD. However, if you have a system that is running Windows 7 and GMOD, you can use this: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/buy The url will give you an option to download the upgrade utility (free). This utility tells you whether your hardware and SOFTWARE is compable with WIndows 8 - or in my case, some games were reported to need to be run in "windows 7" compatibility mode. I did find that several of my steam games are not compatible.
