• i just clone my hard drive took apart my lap top put in my ssd and omg smoking fast so yes you can go ssd i did and omg.

• Thanks for your question, Annmarie. Yes, the hard drive in this Satellite C-Series laptop is user upgradeable. The RAM memory in this laptop is not user upgradeable. If you decide to upgrade the hard drive make sure you purchase a Serial ATA hard drive or solid state drive.
