A: Thanks for your question. This Satellite C55Dt laptop features 4GB of RAM that is not user upgradable. However, the Best Buy Geek Squad should be able to upgrade the memory of this laptop.
A: Yes, it sure is! This laptop is a bit of a mini-powerhouse. I've been playing Minecraft with 70 FPS when I have no other programs open. Even if you have other things open, it stays well above 50 FPS. I have the full Office 2016 suite (with Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc) installed and they all run very smoothly. I even use intensive programs like Photoshop and Premiere and they run pretty well. You'll just have to uninstall all the bloatware that Toshiba has pre-installed when you buy it.

A: Yes, this is a very good basic, all around laptop. I use it for all the same things you are and I am finishing a master's degree with no issues. I am not doing anything too complicated and it works great. I have found the AMD to fall behind Intel but for the price, it is good value. The laptop runs better when plugged in and be sure to get wireless mouse as the touch pad is not very good. Be sure to search on how to speed up Windows. You will like having this laptop for the price you will pay.

A: i just clone my hard drive took apart my lap top put in my ssd and omg smoking fast so yes you can go ssd i did and omg.
Q: Would you recommend this laptop for playing the sims 4?
A: Honestly no. This laptop can run programs that are very processor-heavy, like Photoshop and the like. This laptop can NOT run programs that are very Graphics-heavy. Sims 4 will lag and crash on you. You will easily be able to play Minecraft (not with any mods) or maybe other very light-games, but not Sims. Sorry!
