The computer basically recognizes when it is in tablet mode or in normal mode. When you have the keyboard on your desk/hand/lap it doesn't recognize if you hit a key on accident.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Go to upper right corner screen and press to see menu bar slide out and press on Windows Menu Icon Box. Tap it. Select anything when screen shows to advance it and the regular laptop screen will come alive. You can then go to the lower left corner to access the Windows Menu Icon to switch back to Tablet Mode or turn computer off. In tablet mode go to upper right corner for power options to turn computer off.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Based on my use of this Toshiba laptop-- you can use the keyboard and touch screen interchangeably, without needing to turn one off to use the other. I'm not sure that you can turn off the key board-- if so, I haven't found that button yet. I just use them both at the same time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The keyboard will automatically turn back on once you flip the screen back into laptop mode. It is then disabled once the display is flipped back into tablet mode.
