Yes, you must remove the bottom cover which is all one piece, there's 2 slots which house currently 1600mhz 4gb sticks.

Yes. But you have to send it back to Toshibas service center to have them install it properly. Plus the bios options on these laptops are restricted so that only they can make all the modifications and tweaks.
