There is no activation fee, you just have to pay for your first month's service at the time of activation since this is prepaid. But there are no extra fees.

No- you don't have to pay for activation- just buy a SIm card for $1.00 and pay for whichever plan you 've chosen. Using Auto pay saves you a little $ each month too.

I am fairly sure I did not, although not 100% sure. Anyway I love the service.

When I activated 2 phone online, there was no activation fee. The Total wireless website is not that clear when you bring your own phone and want to port in your current phone number.

Yes, there is an activation fee. If you activate over the phone w/Total Wireless directly they have a fixed fee. If you activate at a local Total Wireless store they have the decresion to discount your activation fee. The more lines you convert to TW the better your chances are of getting a discounted activation fee.
