A:AnswerNo you do not have to automatically pay for the service. You actually would have to set up an account and pay for whatever plan you choose through the provider before service would start. Also even then your not locked in. Because total wireless is a prepaid phone service provider. I actually just put a different SIM card in my phone, called my current company and switched it to the new phone even though it was locked.
A:AnswerYou need to have at minimum 60/SIXTY days of consecutive service. What does that mean for you? You need to buy the cheapest plan for 2 months before the device is unlocked. What’s the cheapest plan you ask? I’m Willing to hold your hand, but won’t wipe for you.
A:AnswerThe phone says it's locked under the carrier total wireless. However I replaced the SIM it came with from my old phone and service, called my provider and gave them the details they needed about the phone and they transferred my number and service right over no problem. Didn't even mention being locked. Probably depends on what service you go through. I think total wireless is connected to Verizon.
A:AnswerI would say depends on the phone? You can always just return. If are you looking to upgrade, why not just visit a Tracfone store, Verizon won't offer you trade-in? I mean Total W.
