I've had this phone for a few weeks now. It holds a charge. I only use it for video and music, so I can not attest to how it works for making calls using a regular cell phone plan. It works fine with WIFI calling via common Android apps. I can attest that it does, in fact, connect to WIFI and tether. This is a really decent phone for $50. No complaints from me.
