I have been running power line connections for years and that includes mixed speed units. Using the AV2000 as the base should get you up to the speed of the AV2000 unit so your AV1200 will run at 1200 and the other AV2000 will run at it's max.

My office speed was good for the AV-600 Bought the newer AV2000 with the dual RJ-45. Replaced the AV-500 on my Router with a AV-2000. The Router also has at least one NAS (network hard drive) and Workstation. I have a Server and Workstation on other side of large apartment - put the other AV-2000 for those two units. Used the AV-500 for the networked Printers and Smart TVs. OOKLA Speed Test: The workstation on the Comcast Internet Modem / Router is just shy of 110 MBS download 38 MBS Workstation test on AV-500 15 MBS Download 12 MBS Upload Workstation test on AV-2000 (while AV-500 working on big print job and Smart TV streaming) 87 MBS & 17MBS upload
