Q: QuestionMy grandma's place has internet coming from an f-type wall plate. Can this connect to that via included accessories? Or would I have to purchase a separate adapter cable?Secondly, would it be difficult to connect a smart TV to this device?
Asked by BMhelp.
- A:Answer If the F-Type wall plate has an active Internet connection from your provider, yes, you can run a coaxial cable between it and the Archer CR700, then activate the gateway with your ISP. If your smart TV has WiFi connectivity, you can easily connect it to the Archer CR700 using the WiFi name and password you set during installation. Regards, TP-Link Support

Q: QuestionJust wondering if this modem TP-Link - 802.11ac Wireless Gateway with DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modum would be compatible, and complete replacement for our comcast xfinity modem? Equipped with phone and internet hook up? Looking to buy, and not rent xfinity.
Asked by seeset.
- A:Answer TP-Link CR1900 can definitely handle Comcast internet but not sure about your phone service. If however your phone number is a VOIP number (such as a free Google number like I have), you can simply run an Ethernet cable into a little Obitalk box. From there, you can run RJ11 cables to standard home phones. I connect mine to Vtech cordless phone system which transmits to other cordless handsets throughout my home. Been using it this way for almost 2 years so that I no longer pay for ANY landline phone services. Google phone service includes free voicemail and can forward calls to your cellular phone too.
