Can this be used at a hotel to boost the wifi signal? null

I would think not as it must sync w the WiFi router to work. Check out Wirecutter reviews.

If the hotel uses a traditional SSID (WiFi name) and password configuration, it is theoretically possible, depending on where the extender is placed. However, if the hotel uses a captive portal login system that requires you to sign in via a web browser first, this may prevent the extender from being a viable option.
