Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I use this with a TP link router in a "one-mesh" mode which means the router and this use the same SSID and it works well however the only thing I dont like about it is in this mode it's not possible to disable the 2.4 GHz wifi signal. I only want to use the 5 GHz signal. Other than that this works fine.

Works great once you figure out the setup pricreat

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Works great. Setup was a little confusing and aggravating but eventually worked through it and it connected. It has boosted the signal in the lower level of the house to over 50 mbps where it was coming in at 6 or 8 previously. Can't beat the price point. So far a solid performer.

Q: QuestionDo I HAVE to use the ethernet cable? Or does it work wirelessly?
Asked by Da6969.
- A:Answer No, the ethernet port is just in case you have a device that only works wired. Wireless is the normal mode of operation.

Q: QuestionI have very strong 2.4 and 5Ghz WIFI throughout the home. However, I have a few TVs that only connect to 2.4Ghz band that is very noisy in my neighborhood. Can this device be used simply as a 5Ghz to Ethernet "RJ-45" adaptor? Turning off Extender?
Asked by AlexB.
- A:Answer I haven't specifically attempted to only leave 5Ghz on by itself but the option to cut off the 2.4Ghz band is available while leaving the 5Ghz on. I have used this device to grab the WIFI and plug directly into a device that was Ethernet only and it worked like a charm is the best that I can confirm.

Q: QuestionWill this device work well with wow internet system ?
Asked by Hawk.
- A:Answer Yes, at least at home it worked very well. You just have to check the scope you want because its efficiency distance is limited.

Asked by Jrott.
- A:Answer The RE205 is equipped with two external antennas, whereas the RE220 is equipped with three internal antennas. For the most part, other features are nearly identical.

Q: QuestionWill this work with a Linksys E2500 router (see link)? I need to boost the signal to a TV 25 feet from the router, through two walls and a kitchen with a refrigerator and other appliances. https://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=141208
Asked by subverb.
- A:Answer All of our WiFi extenders are universally compatible with WiFi routers. For optimal results, we recommend installing the adapter in a position within your home where the router's WiFi signal is sufficiently strong; yet far enough from the router to effectively extend its range. Please verify the RE status LED is indicating a solid connection. That being said, your home's physical layout will always play a role in WiFi propagation, whether from a router or WiFi extender.

Q: QuestionHow do I set up? Lost the reference manual
Asked by Walt.
- A:Answer You can always go on youtube to see videos on how to setup but the easiest for me was to download the TP Link app on another device such as a laptop or tablet and just follow the instructions after the download.
