Your ISP should provide a modem or give you a list of one to buy. The router is not a modem.

Comcast offers two services Cable and Fiber. if you have cable then you will need a Docsis 3.1/3.2 modem. I recommend the Arris SB8200. I personally used that one and it never let me down. If it is fiber then Comcast should provide an ONT as the modem. Ether way just connect that device to the router's WAN port and you are in business.
