Yes you can add nodes, the best for this router is the new TP-Link - AXE5400 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6E Range Extender - White Model: RE815XE This been the fastest and also uses 6E and 160 MHz bandwith You can use any brand that you like, remember that using a TPlink will extend your current network Automatically. When using another brand it will work but will create a different network, meaning you may not be able to see all IP's connected to it, unless you login that extender. second issue you will need use the same name and password that you have on your router, just wont take over as quickly and fast,
