“Will this extender Auto switch? I currently have to go into my phone setting to select my extender vs my wifi network. I'm trying to find one that will automatically connect.”

Hi, what you are describing is known as "Wi-Fi roaming" between networks. This is primarily handled by the connected device, or "client" device (your phone in this case). Depending on the Wi-Fi capabilities of your phone, you may be able to adjust its Wi-Fi roaming behavior.
