Q: QuestionIf I'd like to add a wired access point to my existing AX5400 router, which would be a better choice - this or the dedicated AX3000 / TL-WA3001 AP? Space and wiring are not an issue. Thanks.
Asked by Marmot.
- A:Answer Hi! If you want to utilize AXE5400 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, you can install the RE815XE in Access Point Mode and wire it to your router via Ethernet cable. However, if you do not need Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, the dual-band, AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 connectivity offered by the TL-WA3001 is an excellent standalone, feature-rich Access Point option, as well.

Q: QuestionCan this be used in bridge mode as a wifi bridge to receive wifi signal and convert it to ethernet for connecting a desktop PC?
Asked by NickiName.
- A:Answer Yes it can act as a WiFi bridge, it will pickup your existing connection and broadcast it as a new SSID for you to connect your wireless devices. The ethernet port will also work to connect your PC.

Q: QuestionWill this extend my wifi 6e range? I am trying to pair it with tp link archer axe 7800 router using the one mesh system.
Asked by Kenny.
- A:Answer Technically yes, but I've found that it doesn't give enough of a boost to make any significant boost. But that's been my experience with it so far. Most of my devices would rather still connect through the router. (And I'd assume TP-Link mesh software would push them to the extender when the signal is little to none.)

Q: QuestionWhat is the range for the Wi-Fi extender
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Wi-Fi coverage will depend on numerous variables, including, but not limited to: - Existing coverage provided by your router - Placement of the extender - Physical obstructions (e.g. walls, etc.) between the extender, the router, and your devices - Distance between the extender and your devices - Which Wi-Fi band you are connecting to (2.4GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz)
