You have to download the app to use this camera but it’s free. You don’t need a SD card either you will be able to see live it just won’t record/ save anything until you insert a SD card.

You will need an sd card in order to record activity an get the full benefit of storing activity, camera will automatically record movement at any time of the day, infrared night quality is good . Im constantly monitoring and received alerts when im away from home. This cheap little camera will not dissapoint, and dont even need to spend a fortune like some people do or pay a monthly fee! I have 3 of them, i highly recomend if you are in a tight butget but , want the survailence of the expensive one!
