“I want to use these to setup a wifi router/switch at my entrance gate. It will be powered by extension cords for 350 feet. The router/switch will connect a security camera DVR at that point. Will this work?”

This powerline kit has a maximum theoretical range of up to 300 meters/1000 feet over existing electrical wiring, as long as both adapters are on the same main electrical circuit (breaker panel). Please note that its connectivity and performance will vary due to network environment variables including: distance between adapters, network traffic, noise on electrical wires, building material and construction, quality of electrical installation and other adverse conditions. Please ensure both Powerline adapters are plugged directly into wall outlets - no surge protectors or power strips as these will directly interfere with the connection.
