It can if it is hard wired and you use the supplied jumper.

The app has very detailed instructions on how to accomplish it. It is fairly simple. But mind you whether the 24/7 recording feature will be worthwhile. The doorbell supports a max of 512GB card. 24/7 recording might fill the card up very quickly. Maybe in a day, i have not done the accurate math.
