• No subscription required. Live view is available all the time and recordings can be viewed on the app without removing the local card.

• Hi Jay, Yes, you can conveniently view recordings stored on the Micro SD card (not included) using the Tapo app without a Tapo Care subscription. Tapo Care would be necessary for cloud-based storage, however.
