Can you use this to turn on heat tape on a roof outlet null

Hi, As long as the total combined power draw of your heat tape does not exceed the smart plug's load specifications, you may be able to use it to turn the heat tape on and off. The TP25's Max Load is: 15 A, 1800 W, (General Use / Resistive Load), 1/2 HP Motor.

You may, however, the system has a MAXIMUM amperage load for the entire system -- you would need to check the amperage the heating tape draws. If you do not understand this comment, then please get a pro to determine an appropriate control for your setting.
