I had the same problem with my LG Fiesta2. I called a Tracfone technical rep and she had me input 2 codes which fixed the problem. It was very simple and took less than 10 minutes.

You can try getting a new SIM card at Best Buy, but my guess is that it'll work for a very short period and will then die entirely. Get a different phone.
