This phone is 4G enabled once you get Best Buy to properly activate it. Your Tracfone that ends in February 2022, which is 3G. So the answer is yes this phone will work on the new service. Actually it is not a new Tracfone service. You, like me, have been using 3G, and did not want to change. But this smart phone is just the other side of Tracfone. Basic 3G has many uses other then phone. So Tracfone has been selling both old services, and the "new" services at the same time. You just have to pay more to use 4G which will likely be around at least 5-8 years. Then comes 5G which people can buy now, if they want the latest is connectivity & are willing to pay for it.
