Hi. This is Katrina from TracFone Wireless. Yes. You can use this phone without an active service leaving it as a Wi-Fi device only.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It can be, but I would not use it in place of a 35mm camera (which mine is about 10mp and that is a low cost 35 mm camera. Most cameras have a much higher picture quality. I took a few pictures to see how good it was, but found out it is nothing to write home about. It has limited front and back picture abilities. I thing the front is 7mp and the rear (where you take a picture of yourself) is only about 2mp. I forgot one important thing. If you use it only as a camera, you will still need to pay for basic Tracfone service for that smart phone to work. That money of paying for Tracfone services which you do not use would be better spend on a good 35mm/other type camera, Peter 18February2022 Seattle, WA.
