• Yes for 32 GB's. You will need it to since there is such a small amount of storage in this phone. Plus if you want anything to update, it will go to the storage card.

• It takes a micro SD card. The manual says up to 32 GB. The slot for the card is right below the back camera lens. More or less where it says ZTE on the cover which must be off to access the SIM and SD card slots.
