QuestionDoes the one year protection start when buy it or can you wait 6 months after purchase to install and start then. Reason I ask is the new system I was looking at comes with 6 months free but wanted to go ahead and grab the one year while on sale.

- Answer The protection starts when you install it, Have used it for years and I buy when it's on sale but do not install it till my subscription runs out.

- Answer Best Buy had the new one on there website on 9/24/17 and 2 or 3 days later it sold out and then they took it off there website. We usually buy the box with the instructions and security key from Best Buy so I don’t know what’s going on cuz my subscription expires on November 1, 2017
