“Im not a computer person but i do know computers do have a fan to cool down. Can this sleeve be used while computer is on and working or in sleep mode? sometimes placeing my computer on table ect... one coner sometimes bumped down about 1/2 inch or so.”

Usually when a laptop is in sleep mode, the laptop will act as if it is turned off. All fans normally will be off. There could be a laptop out there that the fans will continue to run if the laptop is hot, but I am not aware of any, except very old laptops. As for up and working, I would not rest the laptop on this pad as some laptops get extremely hot on the bottom. Even when the laptop is on a lap, you may want a solid surface, such as a laptop tray, to hold the laptop to avoid the heat. Most laptops have vents on the bottom to allow the fans to remove heat. Back to the original question, use the sleeve when the laptop is off or in sleep mode, and the fan is not running. Check the bottom of the laptop with your hand before putting it in the sleeve. If it is too hot to touch, it may be too hot for the sleeve. Most laptops will not work if closed, unless connected to a docking station or port extender, so don't expect to use the laptop closed and in the sleeve.
