• I live in Illinois. The state has an on-line tax filing app which is free. I print the state tax return and then enter the numbers on the state app, so the filing is free. The additional cost to e-file a state tax return in the past was $19.99, plus possible state tax fees. The turbotax web site or state web site might have the answer for your state.
