Yes, it is and it works great. It’s mainly for the first generation Xbox One controllers, the ones without Bluetooth installed. I would definitely recommend this product.

Yes this will work to connect a mic. It’s specifically to connect a full headset but you should be able to connect just a microphone as well.

Yes this is the piece you need. It works best with XONE headsets. It also have some good perks such as sound enhancement with a push of a button. The only bad I have experience thus far is it consumes your controller battery faster.
