You would not want to use this with your Elite 800X. If your TV has an optical output, you should be able to use that to connect to the Digital In on your headset's transmitter or mixer-control unit. That is actually a better way to hook everything up, as this way any sound playing through your TV can now play through the headset (including TV shows, movies or streaming media, in addition to the sound from the game console). If your TV *does not* have an optical out jack, then you'll need to use an an "HDMI audio extractor" to add an optical output to your console, which will allow the console to play the game's Dolby Digital data stream to the optical digital input on your Turtle Beach product. For the Xbox Series X|S you'll want to choose an HDMI Audio Extractor that supports the full set of video enhancements offered by these new consoles. Please note that Turtle Beach cannot guarantee compatibility between a third-party adapter you may purchase. your existing Turtle Beach product, and/or the console with which you're using them.
