• It has a power amplifier for sound. It had great sound for the money. It has a Wired 3.5 mm and plugs into the adapter on XBOX controller

• Yes it charges the headphones but they are still wired to the controller

• It uses a 3.5mm plug to connect to the controller or headset adapter. They do charge, I'm assuming it's for the headphones so that it doesn't drain the controller battery.
