If the sound isn’t loud enough initially after plugging in your headset you can adjust it in the Xbox console settings: ‘devices & accessories’ —> ‘more options’ —-> ‘volume’ Once you’re happy with the volume you’ll still be able to adjust it from the headset control itself.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No you don’t need an adapter for any of the newer Xbox One controllers. They all come with a headphone jack on the bottom of the controller. Hope this helps.
