“How good is the boom mic at picking up my voice AND blocking noise around me for the people I'm talking to? I need a headset that doesn't just kill the noise I hear, but kills noise other people hear from my 6 kids running around.”

I've found it does a very good job at picking up just my voice, once I configured it using the Turtle Beach audio app. Of course, it doesn't block the sound of a blender down a short hall to the kitchen or a lawnmower running outside. During those times, I really appreciate the "flip up to mute" function.
