When connected to an Xbox or Windows 10 PC, this headset relies on the console/PC's built in "Windows Sonic for Headphones" or "Dolby Atmos for Headphones" support for spatial audio. The Xbox is capable of handling DTS audio however, and will convert DTS to whichever format you choose. Windows Sonic is a free equivalent to Dolby Digital and DTS, Dolby Atmos is a step up from Dolby Digital and DTS, however support requires a one time $15 payment that gives you access on any Xbox or Windows 10 device on which you have an account.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Stealth 600 and Stealth 700 for Xbox One do not provide DTS Headphone:x 7.1, as they do not connect to the console via Optical Cable. Instead, both models support Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos Surround Sound, which are both provided by the Xbox One console itself (Dolby Atmos on Xbox One requires an additional purchase through the Xbox store). More information on setting up Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos Surround Sound can be found here: https://support.turtlebeach.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000234814-Stealth-600-for-Xbox-One-Windows-Sonic-Surround-Sound
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it come with MicroSoft's proprietary surround sound called "Windows Sonic Surround Sound". I have not used Dolby 7.1, however the windows sonic surround sound allows one to hear all around virtually. You can hear things over head, amazing. There is also a downloadable app, free for a trial period, then to purchase. It is amazing also.
