It gives you significant discounts in things like installation and service calls period plus it covers other electronics in your home even if you didn't buy it from Best Buy . The cost is reasonable and, again you get discounts on things that almost cover the entire cost of the membership for a year.

For example, if the TV is a 55", it would likely be $149.
