• Yes it will work with your iPhone. Plug your lightning cable into the phone and the other end (USB) into the portable battery. It will power on by itself and when it's finished changing it powers itself off too.

• You should be able to charge your iphone with this, because the output from the portable battery is USB and you can charge your iphone with it.
