I don't know for sure, but they have a new version out, so I believe that that is what it is. Just in case, I bought the 2yr replacement plan with Best Buy for like 8 bucks, so if it croaks, which it hasn't, they will replace it. I have a cell phone for work and one personal one as well as two tablets, one mine and one work's and I was able to keep them charged while running from call to call
