Make sure the charger is charged up first. Plug the USB of your charging cord into the charger and the other end into your phone. It should start charging right away.

That's by using the cord that came with the battery is put into a wall charger and the portable charger. Once it's been charged you should just have to put in your phone cord into 1 of ports and charge your phone.
