Yes, this cover easily protects your iPad and lets you charge your pencil. The strap that covers the iPad screen also can hold the pencil. The magnet that holds the pencil in the charging position needs to be much stronger and a little wider and longer for better protection. Charging is No problem. There is a separate clip designed to hold your pencil in transit that does a better job but could be bigger and stronger too. In my opinion. I like the cover, pad, pencil combo.
