Open box are products that were on display in the store so for TVs & game systems expect that they were on for at least 10 hours a day 7 days a week & played with by thousands of people. It's almost like buying a used one. Things like washing machines you pretty much only have to worry about dents & dings which in some instances a store might discount the product even more for that. All products still work but the question is for how much longer will they work?

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Open box items are described as: Customers return opened products for a variety of reasons — a gift was the wrong color or model, or the TV or appliance was too big to fit. Some open-box products served as in-store displays. Each open-box product was tested or inspected to verify proper working order and physical appearance, and assigned a condition — Excellent-Certified, Excellent, Satisfactory or Fair. In addition, most open-box products include all parts and accessories (exceptions are noted as part of the product's condition).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Seriously folks? Haven't any of you, as I have, purchased something and found that it simply didn't do what I thought it would? Or it didn't fit into my scheme for my home, etc? Or my spouse didn't approve? Ever stand in the often long lines at customer service at the store where you shopped? Most of "returns" are harmless, and the simple fact that they were "bought previously" and then returned in an open box (duh we all open our purchases right?) means most of us will choose a closed box INSTEAD when buying, rather than one that is obviously opened... if it is with all the other choices for the SAME PRICE when we are shopping, right? Thus retailers got smart and lower the price on these items so that they are seen as "deals" ... which they usually are! The item gets sold instead of having to deal with the hassle and expense and value loss by returning to the manufacturer according to what ever deal they have with them for such items. Or simply having to write the entire expense off completely AS A TOTAL LOSS! This is A HUGE aspect of retail sales across the board of products. :) E~
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In our case, nothing. Couldn't even tell what made it an open box item. It's working just fine for us.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm assuming it means the package was opened previously. But there was no damage to the product when I received it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Open-box is purchasing the product without a box- meaning it's out of the original box already. Often times these are products that have been on display.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know, for sure, but my guess is that it was a returned and/or opened box in the store so, they are offering it at a discounted price.
