“Can I record in my car while using my laptop as a power source. I have a car without a functioning lighter (power source) and when I plug my current dash cam into my laptop it charges it but will not record the road. The display on dash cam only gives me 2 options Mass storage or PC Camera. Does this unit say or do something similar? How to solve problem?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As someone already said I would take your car into a mechanic that you trust, this has happened to me and all that was wrong was a blown fuse, they only charged me $2 to replace the fuse and the power point works again

Please try again later.If you have a "split front seat" try looking in the "rear seat" ashtray for another lighter, or if you car is an SUV, there will probably be another "outlet", in the front passenger area. You might try "inspecting" the fuses, if the cigar lighter doesn't work!
