“Can this be plug to a usb not the lighter?”

• If you connect this to Car or Computer USB then Dashcam system goes to computer connected mode and you can't do anything to it. so you can use Lighter, Or External Power Bank..that will work perfect with this.

• It can, but my car won't support that. There is a USB cord with it for transferring files from the thing to your computer. However I suggest you read the posts online about this camera. Mine failed immediately.

• I would say yes since you can use the usb on a computer, but I have not tried it. I have mine hard wired to the fuse box in my vehicle.
