• The battery only lasts 10 minutes according to the manual. It has to be plugged in while you are driving.

• It's work both ways but for battery used, it will record mostly 10 minutes max

• once it's fully charged you no longer have to have it plugged in, i'm not quit sure how long the battery lasts, i haven't really taken it on a long road trip
