“This dash cam will only record for a few seconds, then just stop, or go back and forth between recording and not. Does anyone know how to get it to record the whole time and not just for a few seconds? Also, how to format the SD (no info in directions)??”

Turn off the motion sensor / detection. This will give the desired behaviour of continuous 1–3 min loops. Formatting is accomplished by tapping the menu button twice to get to the setup menu. Then going to format, use the OK button choose yes... say yes until it formats. Another user answered this quite concisely.
