I used regular non chargeable AA batteries in the field in Africa when the rechargeable ones ran down. They actually lasted longer than the rechargeable ones .. but of course I then had to throw them away when they ran down.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know about a charger "base", but they are charged via a standard micro USB cable and a 10-12 watt standard 5.1v USB charger cube (similar to what you use on your cellphone)
