- Answer This scanner can pick up most transmission types. looking at your area on radioreference.com, you will pick up most frequencies, though some are encrypted and no scanner can pick those up legally. You should be fine getting this!

QuestionProblems with scanner not picking up know local freguencies and can't determine how to directly input known local frequencies, had it for 2 months(bought from Bestbuy) and need help with getting it to operate correctly.
