• yes. suction cup mounts allows for a custom placement on your windshield. i would recommend, however, buying a mirror mount. provides best placement.

• You will want to purchase a different mounting option. A mirror mount works great. The factory suction cup mounting brackets are terrible.

• I struggle with the suction cups sticking if the windshield or the cups are dirty, the temperature is cold, or if I’m constantly moving them from vehicle to vehicle. Otherwise putting the detector in the right place and keeping it there isn’t too bad. If you’re going to move it among vehicles often, I’d almost recommend getting an additional mount so you don’t have to fight the “make em stick” fight every time you pull the mount down to put in another car.
