Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe the only difference between the R1 and the R1BBY are the accessories that come with the detector. The R1 comes with a travel case, 2 suction mounts, and a power cord that has an usb port/mute button. The R1BBY does not come with a travel case, has only one suction mount, and a power cord without an usb port/mute button. I believe the radar detector unit itself is the same for both model numbers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Actually the same detector. The R1 kit has a power cord with isb charge port with mute button plus a large sticky suction cup. The R1BBY has a regular power cord & two small suction cup mounts. I saved the money & am very happy I did.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No difference except for options. The actual detector is exactly the same. One has basic wire and other has smart chord. Do a search for vortexradar on YouTube and he has some great info.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is the R1 - the box just shows the entire model name
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn’t have the usb outlet nor the 1 suction cup.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same RD but it comes with less accessories. A Best Buy version. No case, one mount (not 2), less fancy cable with no mute function. It works just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This one (R1BBY) includes the detector, power cord and suction cup mounting system. R1DSP is the same detector, but also includes a carry case, a 2nd large suction cup mount and a smart power cord. R1BBY is the Best Buy edition. Same detector, fewer accessories.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.R1 does not have gps or speedometer. It's a great deal. The R3 is the best digital Rd you can buy. I have had mine for about a year. If you compare it to any other radar detector it's like going from am radio to fm radio. Or 480p to 1080p. I do question the no gps on the R1 but for $ 179 it's a steel
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.R1 does not have a GPS, R3 has GPS for location lockouts and automatic speed muting.
