“From what I've heard, this device is not capable of recording audio. What should I do if I want audio? Like, if an incident happens and it involves arguments or threats, I need to be able to prove that someone did, in fact, argue with me or threaten me.”

I was playing back a recording to see how it looked and it did record audio inside the car.so i dont know how far it would pick up the audio.
