QuestionI bought a camera like this one and it will keep rebooting itself because it got to hot. I live in AZ so the sun comes through. Even with the air on it still reboots itself every few minutes. Does this one handle heat and does it feel hot to the touch?

- Answer Brand response from VanTop Team Regarding your issue, please follow these steps to troubleshoot. 1. Check if the indicator of the car charger flashes. If it flashes, please kindly use an available MINI USB cable and power it via a 5V/3A adapter for an hour to see if it works. 2. Use a card reader to format the SD card to FAT32. Please kindly save the recorded videos and pictures before formatting the SD card. Here's the video about how to format SD card to FAT32 on the computer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcOkHajz3ug 3. Use a pin to reset the device directly. The reset hole is behind the camera. Then please enter Settings, choose factory settings to set the device to default. 4. Unplug the rear camera kit to see if the front camera works well. - Answer It records the front and the back. The rear view mirror will have a split screen with front and back of car. It does take time to get use to driving with it. It records as soon as you turn your car on.

- Answer I don’t know I’ve never looked up the instructions for that use. There is a memory card installed into the rear view mirror. It clip on to your existing mirror. When you turn car on it records with split screen the front and back of car. It does take some getting use to as you drive.half the mirror is the front of car and half is the rear of car.

- Answer Hey, sorry to hear you are having trouble with you unit. Based on the info you provided it seems that the battery has life has ended. I would try to reset the unit and see it the would help. Thanks

- Answer no, you can plug it in to a cigarette outlet or hardwire it to your fuse box. I recommend hardwiring it.
